| April | Annual General Meeting Monday 24th May St Mary's Church Hall, Elham 7.30pm for 8pm start. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are sorry to advise that we have delayed the AGM. The details above are correct. We shall be losing our Treasurer, Lorraine Evans, and Gerald Crease is relinquishing his role as Membership Secretary (but remaining Kingston Village representative). We are very grateful for the work Lorraine and Gerald have done for us. New Committee members help to keep our Association fresh as they are often able to come up with new ideas and we urge you to consider joining the Committee. Committee meetings are not onerous, with approximately six a year, and business is conducted over a glass or two of wine. We hope to see you at the AGM and you are welcome to bring along anyone interested in joining us. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call Joey Bushell (01227 831231) or your Village rep. |
| May | SPRING WALK Sunday 16th May, 2010 As the bluebells are rather late this year we have decided to have a Spring Walk rather than specifically a 'bluebell walk' but hopefully there will be some spring flowers for us to see.
The Elham Ladies Walking Group, not just 'ladies' by the way, will be doing an interesting historical walk through Denton and Wootton on 16th May and you are invited to join in. We will meet at The Jackdaw in Denton at midday and no doubt a debriefing will be necessary afterwards in the front bar! I hope you can join us and meet up with old friends, and hopefully make some new ones too. If you have any queries regarding this outing please give me a ring on 01303 840336. I look forward to seeing you. Andree Sladden |
